Advance discounted tickets are now on sale for the 2016 Donington Historic Festival (Saturday April 30th, Sunday May 1st and Monday May 2nd), perfectly timed for those looking to secure the ideal Christmas gift for a historic motorsport or motoring fan.
Over five very successful years, the Donington Historic Festival has gone from strength to strength, with world-class historic racing for grids from the 1920s to the 1990s supplemented by hugely popular features such as the exhilarating historic rally car and karting demonstrations and special paddock displays and track demos. For 2016 the race content is building to be the event’s strongest yet, while the track action will also include some very exciting historic F1 car demos – always guaranteed to quicken the heartbeat of motorsport fans!
As always, the race car and rally car paddocks will be open to all, while the trade village will provide some great shopping opportunities. Add to that the chance to visit the Donington Grand Prix Collection, home to the world’s largest collection of Grand Prix cars and the Wheatcroft Collection of historic military vehicles, and the very special, relaxed Donington Park atmosphere and fantastic spectator viewing locations, and it’s easy to see why the Donington Historic Festival has become a ‘must-do’ part of the international classic motorsport calendar.
Advance tickets offer a significant saving on the on-the-gate prices. A single day advance discounted ticket costs £21 and a two-day ticket £34, while a three-day weekend ticket costs just £48 (on-the-gate prices will be £28, £45 and £65, respectively). Children aged under 16 are admitted for free. Advance discounted tickets can be bought via www.doningtonhistoric.com and through the 24-hour ticket hotline 0844 873 7355. Advance ticket sales close at 5pm on Wednesday, April 27th 2016.
Calling all car clubs
The gathering of hundreds of cars from dozens of car clubs in the infield, and the daily car club parades, are a very popular element of the Festival, both with car club members and general spectators. Special discounts plus exclusive infield display parking are available for members of car clubs that are registered to attend. Car club organisers are invited to register their club via the car club section on the event’s website so that their members can benefit from the Festival car club offer.
