No-one can argue that Jaguar’s F-Type in either coupe or convertible makes for a really rather lovely proposition. In order to broaden that appeal yet further, the line up is going from an offering of six to 14 different models, meaning that there really should be an F-Type to suit all.
The biggest new development is an all wheel drive drivetrain designed to maximise performance and driving capability in any conditions. With AWD, the range topping variant will roar from 0-62 in 3.9 seconds and on to a maximum of 186 miles per hour – really rather quick performance I’m sure you’d agree.
Another new addition is the six-speed manual transmission option for rear-wheel drive supercharged V6 models. This is designed to deliver the purest sports car driving experience, putting it squarely up against the likes of the Porsche Cayman sports car.
“The F-TYPE Coupé and Convertible already represent everything you’d expect from a Jaguar sports car – seductive design, stunning performance and amazing agility. The addition of all-wheel drive and manual transmission options to the range will further enhance the F-TYPE’s dynamic capability and offer even greater driver reward – broadening its appeal to sports car enthusiasts worldwide.”

We at Car Articles have fallen a little bit in love with the gorgeous, swoopy Jaguar F-Type. If you’ve got the cash we heartily recommend getting behind one of these big cats.
