This is the new Suzuki SX4 S-Cross. It goes on sale on 1 October – priced from £14,999 for SZ3 1.6 petrol with manual transmission. It is available with either 1.6-litre petrol or 1.6-litre DDiS engines offering class leading emissions and low fuel consumption – 1.6DDiS 2WD emits just 110g/km of CO2 with 67.2mpg on the combined cycle. Best of all? There’s an ALLGRIP four wheel drive model available so it should be quite capable whatever your needs.
The car also has a world first sunroof. Consisting of two sliding glass panels (one in front of the other), it extends over the front and rear seats, making the cabin more relaxing for all occupants. When the sunroof is closed, the glass panels have a combined length of 1,000mm. When the sunroof is open, the aperture has a length of 560mm (one of the largest in this segment), giving occupants an invigorating open roof experience.
So, what do you make of this? Surely one of the best cars to come from Suzuki yet?
