This is the Pininfarina Battista pure electric hypercar. It is apparently the ‘most powerful’ car to ever be designed and built in Italy. Just as impressive is the fact that in theory it’ll be totally free to use in the Ultra Low Emissions Zone of central London. For a car that can sprint from 0-60 in less than 2 seconds (!) a targeted range of 300 miles seems pretty good too.
Michael Perschke, CEO, Automobili Pininfarina, said: “The Battista is a truly beautiful, guilt-free hypercar – the first EV to really fall in love with – because electricity enables us to develop it with zero emissions and as the most powerful car that will have ever been designed and built in Italy.
“As London joins many cities in moving towards a more sustainable future, we hope that the Battista also inspires a generation to consider electric cars, not just through the benefits of zero emissions, but also through the beauty and the performance that electrification offers.”
Look out for the Pininfarina Battista to make an appearance in 2020. If you have to ask the price, you can’t afford it. A limited run of only 150 cars will ensure rarity and even more desirability in the market.
