The Bugatti Veyron isn’t just impressive because of the sheer record breaking speed, but also for the way in which it delivers the speed – in complete luxury. The Bugatti 16 C Galibier Concept is no different, and in fact is Bugatti’s entry into the executive 4 seat class. This isn’t a staid old saloon though – in fact it’s not a saloon at all, but a hatchback!
Beneath the bonnet, which folds back from both sides, there resides a 16-cylinder, 8-litre engine with twostage supercharging. What makes this engine special is that it was developed as a flex-fuel engine and can optional be run on ethanol. Four-wheel drive, specially developed ceramic brakes and a new suspension design enable the agile, always-sure handling of a saloon of this size.
Perhaps what’s more impressive is the amazing luxury interior. Each seat is individual and will no doubt transport occupants in complete comfort with their own air conditioning zones. For the driver, the dash has been reduced to the essentials only, whilst a Reverso Tourbillon clock by Parmigiani is removeable and can be worn as a watch.
Here’s the interior shot to make your mouth water…
Whilst the Bugatti 16C Galibier is only a concept car, it’s quite likely that this is going to be a future model for the world famous marque.
