Infiniti cars are still a rare sight on British roads, but hopefully that’ll soon change as the brand makes more of an impact with cars like the new EX30d. Priced from £35,975, this crossover promises to raise the bar for diesel engine refinement and vehicle safety as well as delivering Infiniti’s greenest environmental performance to date.
Let’s get to the figures:
* 550 Nm (406 lb ft) of torque at just 1750rpm
* 33.2 mpg on the combined cycle
* 0-62 mph in 7.9 seconds
* 137 mph top speed
* 224 g/km of CO2 emissions with standard seven-speed automatic transmission
* From £35,975 in three levels of specification
The torque levels are not just class leading but staggering – perhaps the only thing that lets the vehicle down is the mpg – obviously all of that torque costs in fuel. It’s still a good looking luxury (and safe) crossover that will remain a less common sight that most other car marques on the road.
The Infiniti EX30d will be available from July.
