Cars From Movies #2

Granted, I can’t remember a movie with the Toyota Hilux in – but Top Gear has made it massively famous around the world. Previously known for being an excellent workhorse of a vehicle, the Hilux became famous for the fact that it could tackle just about any terrain, anywhere. It even survived the challenge of being on top of a collapsing building, flooding, a drive to a volcano and much much more.

Toyota Hilux, you represent all that is good about reliability in the motor business. You are my selected vehicle should there be a zombie apocalypse. I know you won’t break down (probably ever) and for that reason you deserve many, many accolades. Your indestructable engineering harks back to days gone by when things are much simpler, when a spanner, a torque wrench and some new spark plugs were needed rather than a laptop and a USB connection.

For the reasons above, I applaud the Toyota Hilux and take great pleasure in seeing it on the big or small screen. In the words of Clarkson: “What a beast!”
