The Telegraph has a new article that states many of us clock up hundreds of miles extra per year, due to the fact that we have an irrational fear of motorways. Why irrational? Well, not only are they the quickest roads most often to get from point a to point b, but they’re statistically actually safer than many of the other chosen routes used to avoid them!
So, are you afraid of motorway driving? If so, what exactly puts you off and why?

September 17, 2010 at 11:52 amI don’t mind motorways when it is dry but when the nights are drawing in and it is raining I hate them! I regularly drive down the M6, M5 & M50 from Manchester to Cardiff, I absolutely hate the M6, it scares me to death when it is wet, overtaking the trucks with all the spray and the lights reflecting off the road surface gives me nightmares, however I still like to get there quickly so i would never stop using them!!
