This is the new Vauxhall Corsa Black & White Limited Edition model. It features glacier white bodywork, black 17-inch twin spoke alloy wheels and extra detailing in the form of a black sapphire roof. It also has lowered suspension and a factory fitted VXR bodykit including a spoiler and skirts.
The interior includes a piano black centre console with contrasting white air vents and alloy pedals, along with Limited Edition badging throughout to remind you that you are sitting in something just a little bit special.
Standard specification on the Corsa Limited Edition also includes air con, fog lights, cruise control and CD changer with MP3 format including auxiliary connectivity. And as if the new Corsa wasn’t personalised enough already, a wide range of options can be specified including Bluetooth, electronic climate control and rear parking sensors.
In spite of its sporting intent, the new Corsa limited edition will be easy on the wallet and environment. Customers can choose from two frugal and efficient engines: an 85PS 1.2 16v VVT petrol, or the 75PS 1.3 CDTi ecoFLEX, with combined fuel consumption cycles of 53.3 and 65.7mpg respectively.
Emissions are also impressively low at 124g/Km for the 1.2 16v and 114g for the ecoFLEX model meaning that both engine variants qualify for the new zero first year VED banding.
Prices for the Corsa Limited Edition range from £13,995 for the 3-door 1.2 16v, to £15,400 for the 5-door ecoFLEX diesel.
The new Vauxhall Corsa Limited Edition is available from next month until the end of the year.

September 3, 2010 at 11:56 pmyet another “limited” edition vauxhall. Theyre getting silly with them now.
P*$$es me off considering I paid £20,000 for a “limited” edition vxr nurburgring, the only white VXR at the time with checkers on.
stood out a mile at the time,
then came the arctic corsa, the bathurst vxr8… ok fair enough…
all where performance cars WORTHY of the titles VXR / limited edition
however…then came the “wannabe’s” sticking the nurburg checkers on standard astras and corsas, WHY?? Read what the checks and badges stand for and realise why they dont apply to your 1.2 ecotec.
However… now vauxhall themselves are selling these vxr styled “limited edition” go nowhere’s to the wannabes to cut out the hard work.
GET REAL VAUXHALL!
Limited editions are and have almost always been made as a high performance alternative to a popular car.
high end / high spec one off cars are for the big boys with the cash and enthusiasm for the brand and motorsport itself.
not for some 17 year olds birthday present so they can look “cool” going to college/uni in it.
when you hear a remus backfire, see a real vxr gun it like it was designed to, take a good look at the car you wished you could / Should have had, and realise you paid well over the odds for some black paint and a ltd edition badge.

September 13, 2010 at 7:15 pmjust bought this car for my wife she wanted vxr but i said she would kill herself. then we seen this 1.2 special edition this car looks better than any other corsa on the road, no wonder if you bought a vxr and seen this with envy because its the dogs bollocks. ok wont win races but how fast can u drive thru a town. the 1,2 is great and a bit punchy about the town. oooohhhh the price let me tell yous, haggled with the price £9500 with three years serviceing and life time warranty….doesnt seem so bad now lads…eh.
craig says
September 14, 2010 at 4:23 pmRob you bought a vxr…hardly power and hardly gunning it anywhere compared to cars u should have bought for that money if you wanted power and speed.
Second of all not being funny or trying to bad mouth vauxhall but I mean, round the nurburg ring, hardly gonna beat times, not like its a skyline and its 13000, hardly ferrari money.
But anyways its a great looking car and if u buy it, get hold of black vxr wing mirrors as it looks better. Ask rob if you can buy his lol but yer looks good and great young drivers don’t have to drive bangers for first cars 🙂
Ollie says
September 28, 2010 at 6:07 pmI think its a great looking car and i am currently looking to buy one myself, as for rob i think the VXR is a fantastic looking car but are you sure your not annoyed with the price you paid for your VXR as for the lookalike one thats out now ? no doubt your a typical obese man that struggles with the opposite sex (or same sex which ever lights your candle) so you thought you’d get yourself a “fast car” and all would be well 🙂 and the way you go on about “gunning it” shouldnt you of gone for something more on the lines of like an EVO or subaru etc.

January 12, 2011 at 10:54 amThese alternative Limited Additions to standard production cars give the opportunity to the normal punters to purchase a factory built Vauxhall with eye catching styling within a reasonable budget. These weren’t originally intended for further enhancements to the top end of the ranges, from memory one of the first Limited Editions Vauxhall introduced was the Club range applied to the modest Cavalier and Astra models and the body colour ………… Oh yeah WHITE! I have been told that they are not sure when they can fix the car as the ECU is on back order. So all in all not very happy with Vauxhall.

Neill says
May 8, 2011 at 2:25 pmCurtis, to be honest I have not yet seen a yellow one or red one on the road as of yet, & as for the spare what I did is bought a 2nd hand Corsa d wheel, i managed to get a 17″ and then joined the AA, so if I do get a flat ill just call them out to change it as I have no jack…..
Ashley says
May 8, 2011 at 6:53 pmCurtis I got a Yellow one as more unique. Got the different seat and steering wheel stitching. I was sceptical about the colour but so happy with my choice and wont see another on the road. Seen loads of white ones though Limited edition …

May 8, 2011 at 7:56 pmNeill and Ashley, thanks for your comments really appreciated. I already belong to the RAC so sounds a good idea to get a spare, I have seen them on Ebay. I noticed someone said about jacking them up becasue of the body kit could cause a problem. I’ve seen a few white ones where I live but not yellow and yes I liked the seats and steering wheel…. I notice some people on here have paid under 10K and I have been quoted £13,700 with nothing extra, although I appreciate diesel’s are more expensive. Some people have also told me they are slow!! I currently have a diesel 1.3 design in black which is quite quick but the garage have told me I will notice the difference. Sorry for all the questions. Do the wheels have locking nuts?

May 12, 2011 at 3:33 pmVAUXHALL CORSA 1.2 SXI A/C 3DR LIMITED EDITION 60 PLATE
so how many people have bought this sort of car????
i bought one to find its not a limited edition its a corsa sxi 1.2 that the dealer has modded it up to look like a sxi limited edition with 17 inch alloys, vxr bodykit, and painted roof.
so how many people who bought this sort of car are driving it around as a 1.2sxi (85) model insurance????
if you are then im sorry but factory fitted is different to dealer fitted with my insurance company and i was driving around with it for 3 months.
any sort of incident i would of been stung bigtime as it didnt have mods on my insurance only factory fitted do and mine came off the factory as a 1.2 sxi standard not limited edition
“we made them up for demand” says the garage but limited edition they aint
how dare they say they want to take £1000 pounds off me for 3 months when they clearly sold a car that it clearly isnt
anyone else got one of these cars???
Neill says
May 12, 2011 at 7:24 pmBlimy!!! sorry to hear that & wot a bloody cheek they had, does it have the Limited edition badge near the front wing indicator!! I just checked all my paperwork & the log book even says limited edition…how did you find out?
concerned customer says
May 12, 2011 at 8:03 pmthe badge is sxi. the log book is sxi.

i only found out cause i asked for a valuation after the car had been in the garage several times in the first 3 months since ive had it. it went from £12500 to £7000 in 3 months 42% depresiation
made me question why so i did some investigating and found out
im disappointed bigtime

May 13, 2011 at 10:56 amConcerned Customer I found out about this too. I was going to buy mine off arnold clark but found out through research and through my local vauxhall retailer that they were just modified SXI models. I was told that the true Special Editions can only be bought from actual Vauxhall Retailers which is where I got mine from. The badge, model sticker on interior of drivers door and manual all say special edition.
Curtis I got mine for 12,500 for the petrol and was told the diesel was around 13,500 as as this years limited edition is slightly updated which is probs why some others been quoted cheaper for unsold stock from previous years which the old front bumper and headlights etc.

Ashley says
May 18, 2011 at 8:52 amHi Laura, thats what I paid for my yellow/black one so now I dont feel ripped off considering others saying they got theirs cheaper etc. Although they havent really given you a years free tax as the engines 1.0 and the 1.2 16v corsa engine are classified as ecotec engines and are highly efficient. As a result they are exempt from first year road tax anyway so Vauxhall havent paid it for you at all and and tell a white lie but still congrats on the new car 🙂

Arnold Clark is offering me for 9.9K after the swappage allowance thingy for my older Astra. Anyone think I could still haggle for more money in my pocket. Some companies seem to offer more for swappage, but arnold clark will just argue that their cars are cheaper.

June 22, 2011 at 9:14 amDear HO
Ways to check if you buying a limited edition
the badge on the side will be a White limited edition
If you take the reg plate and place it in one of these car valuation sites it will say limited edition on it.
But be careful if just asking the sales guys. See I went into this very large vauxhall franchise and asked for a limited edition.

June 22, 2011 at 7:16 pmHO, Nobody knows this but if u are in a union affilated with general motors. general motors will give u a thousand pounds off your car. i got them down to £10500 then they asked me if a knew anyone thats in a union must be blood relative my mother still paid her union dues (the coop) gave the guy union number got a thousand pounds of my new corsa £9500 and it was arnold clark cheers.

June 22, 2011 at 8:25 pmHey johnl thanks. I got it down to 9.5k with Peter Vardy actually. They were trying to convince me 10.8k was a very good deal, until I started telling them that arnold clark is offering me 9.9k. Well Peter Vardy did advertise 9488 as their lowest price, but you need to be in a union or in some sort of job to kind of qualify for an additional 1.3k discount. The idea is if you went armed with another deal, they seem quite ready to undercut it. And thanks to concerned customer, I did check the badge is limited edition. They seem quite ready to slag off AC that only them will do the despicable modifications. Also very keen to point out that AC often sell pre-reg cars which will therefore appear cheaper. Since its my first new car, didn’t know difference between pre-reg and brand new. For other fellow newbies, pre-reg means on the v5, you are actually the 2nd owner. So they said don’t trust anything from AC unless it clearly says brand new. Don’t know how true this is, seems to me like Peter Vardy just want to slag off as much as possible about their main rival. Feel free to clarify anyone.

July 1, 2011 at 8:04 amI pick my limited model up today.!!
An for all the people asking why pay this when you can have this.!
I have had 2 civic type r’s and a 150cdti Sri astra.!
The reason is plain and simple they look good but are cheap to run.!
So to all the guys thinking you are tickets with your fast cars , great am happy for you.!
But I laugh at how much you guys are paying for car tax and fuel cost not to forget insurance.
I know how hard it is to pay a mortgage for a car.!
60quid on fuel on petrol for the type r…..
Sorry I will always love my fast motors but for now a good looking 1.3 corsa that cost £20 a year road tax £15 cheaper on my insurance per month not to mention what I will save on fuel.
I will settle for that until we are out of this finical hole , with the way the fuel and tax is going the days of owning a performance car is fast dying off.!!
Either way what ever car you have enjoy it and take care.!!

July 11, 2011 at 8:03 amThe fuel consumption will improve after the first 500 miles as the engine free’s up. I was a bit disappointed with my LE but now its got its first thousand miles on it the fuel consumption is now averaging 45 mpg and the engine spins much more freely and pulls much better. I don’t think the LE has Bluetooth its only on the top spec corsa’s ie the ones with the full graphic music system/sat nav.

July 22, 2011 at 5:59 pmLE Corsa 1.3cdti White
We purchased one of these brand new in October.
Since then, it has spent the past 12(ish) weeks in
the garage. It keeps losing power when over taking or
just generally driving at speeds between 65-75mph.
Vauxhall at the moment are at a complete lose as to
the problem as everytime one fault gets sorted, another
fault appears. According to main dealer, they have a new
style engine in them & therefore don’t know what is causing
the problems. Has anyone else out there had turbo problems
on the diesel model? Any help gratefully received.

July 27, 2011 at 2:44 pmIve had my black and white limited edition corsa for 7 months and I know this is sad but is the best thing EVERRRR. I really do love it.
Not had any problems with it so far, but if you get it from a vauxhall dealership they should ring you up after 6 months and make an appointment with you to take it into their garage to have a full ‘health’ check on your car to see if everything is running well. So if this has not happened then i suggest everyone should ring up their dealership.
The only bad thing about the car is that it has an ECOTEC badge on the back….doesnt fit with the rest of the car. I am hoping to get it taken off. Also i wish i added bluetooth…DAMN!

July 31, 2011 at 9:53 pmDesperately trying to get rid of my extremely unreliable Mini Cooper, been to every dealership over the weekend and the best deal out there by far has to be Vauxhalls 0% apr & the nicest looking car…the limited edition corsa of course. Just wondered if I’m getting a good deal or not? Receiving 9% off the sticker price because my Hubby’s a fireman as well as £750 vauxhall throw in towards your deposit, which takes the car down to £12,500. Minus the £3,500 they’re giving me for mine, my payments will be £42 for 60 months…is anyone getting a monthly payment better than that? I haven’t haggled yet on the sticker price & wondering if I should at to what price?!
Other biggest dilemma is white or red??? I love white cars, but the LE in white seems to be popping up everywhere now! Would have liked the extras like winter pack and bluetooth but as they’re factory fitted I’m told I could be waiting for up to 14 weeks- don’t think my mini will go that long without costing me at least another £600 to fix!
Advice please guys?! 🙂

August 1, 2011 at 8:22 pmHi folks. Went to local VX dealer who gave me a price of 12,000 for Corsa LE ( no trade-in). I qualify for partners and loyalty discount. August 3, 2011 at 8:38 amI ordered my Yellow LE about a month ago and have been told I won’t be getting mine until October/November. I noticed online they could offer it in black saphirre and I told the sales guy at vauxhall and he didn’t even know! Out of any colour possible I would pick black but then I had a look at it and it’s too much black. There are white cars everywhere now and I wanted something different. I opted for the paint protector/gap insurance/service agreement and parking sensors for £250 a month over 5 years, with a part exchange of only £500. My grandad worked for vauxhall as well so that’s with a 25% discount… Sounds like a lot!?

I drive about 50 miles a day on country roads and rarely get to drive any where far and never get on dual carriageways or motorways and my car averages 42 mpg all the time. Its a good car it looks great, its performance is average but its very economical. and its very comfortable.

August 20, 2011 at 5:04 pmHi, I have had my Corsa LE for just over a week and have noticed that it is using more petrol than I expected however apparently this happens with all new cars. I would hope that as previous comment states it will do more miles to the gallon after 500 miles as have just done 200, will update comments later when have gone past this. I do love the car, I’ve had several comments about it’s good looks and a group of lads shouted at me the other day ‘nice car!’. I just cannot bear to pay more for an VXR, more petrol & higher tax just to be able to race someone at the traffic lights (I just laugh at anyone who tries this!), no-one can go faster than 70 mph anyway! The 0% finance is a great deal and the lifetime warranty is definitely a bonus!

August 24, 2011 at 1:35 pm@rob who commented 3rd september 2010
I don’t know why your going on about love for performance cars when you have a vxr corsa. To my knowledge they only have a 1.6 turbo engine which is the same as my van, you just have uprated parts. So it doesn’t matter what engine they throw in because you can buy performance parts. Your cars worth the same as a 1.2 limited edition corsa? Looks like the people who have the limited edition corsa have had a better deal than you. If you were really passionate for performance cars then why have you got a corsa vxr? A nissan skyline or the focus rs would of been better suited or even the astra vxr which has a 2.0 turbo lump. So you can’t really go on about having the money to get a limited edition vxr when obviously you didn’t have money for a proper performance car and had to settle for the corsa. So lay off the 17 year olds because at the end of the day they will look cool while people will be going to your vxr “only £13000, same as a limited edition 1.2 corsa” which will turn people off from vxr corsas

August 29, 2011 at 6:57 pmWhat I mean is I wouldn’t put in £75 for one month in my old Corsa C when I’m doing same miles, I have already run out and had to fill up again in 2 weeks of having the car. So it’s clear to me it is using more petrol if I didn’t even use £75 in my old Corsa in 4 weeks, all petrol prices are around the same near me. However I have since spoken to the dealers and they have had a similar situation where sum1 had the new Corsa LE and noticed the petrol consumption was high, however the guy says now he’s run the car in and has done over 1500 miles it is now more efficient. The dealers have however been really helpful and said they would check it over to be sure but this can be normal especially when brand new. I have noticed however today that the av.MPG is 30.2 wheras last week it was 29.6, so I am not worrying about as much now. Newer engines are tighter and therefore will use more petrol. I haven’t had chance to replace the oil but I do want to know for future, I’m seeing the dealers soon so I’ll prob mention it. Cheers!

I love it and coming from a Mitsubishi Lancer Gs3 which drank petrol this little one is paying for itself and still looks hot,
Anyway I just have two questions if anybody can help…
1) When is the limited edition ending?
I heard December and was just worried if they don’t stop banging them out there not going to be very Limited, therefore bringing the value down quicker or am I just being stupid?? (be nice!)
2) Can anyone recommend any speakers for the LE corsa?
The ones that comes as standard are sufficient, would just like a little more Bass and a quality sound although don’t want a sub as need the boot space..and at 30 need to leave all that alone lol..if anyone has any suggestions would be very much appreciated, Thank you x

The dealership said there was, but im doubtful as the website makes it out to be very basic and the dealership are turning out to be quite useless and palming me off all the time! I suppose they’ve had their order and made their sale so now they don’t give a s**t.
I placed my order around 2 weeks ago and was told december for delivery and that they would let me know in a few days later with an actual date which they didn’t. I emailed them and rang them and they keep plaming me off. I’ve read that some people are having to wait 6 months for their car and I’m starting to get quite worried. Can anybody help or offer some advice??
Thanks

Im going to be trading it in for the 61 plate yellow soon though and it works out better for me on a whole and its only going to be £4 more a month! i was guaranteed delivery last tuesday but they failed to called me in the morning to tell me it was still in scotland at the hq! im not impressed at all. Up to now with the yellow im getting the fitted mats, rear sensors and a full tank of petrol for £199 a month over 5 years. whats the gap insurance about that some people are getting?

September 6, 2011 at 8:41 amBecky, My LE has the standard audio system and it really is very good. The sound is fine. Yes there is an aux in port and if you record your own CDs with itunes or similar software the track titles are displayed on the radio display. For your iphone it’s only an aux connection but it works and sounds fine and all the radio/CD controls are replicated on the steering wheel. I ordered my red car in april and got it 5 weeks later and i’m VERY happy with it.

Gerry says
September 13, 2011 at 1:03 pmJustine, there is no spare wheel with the LE because they are fitted with 17 inch wheels and they won’t fit in the boot! There is a pump and puncture fixing kit in the toolkit but if I get a puncture I’ll just call the RAC and let them sort it out.

However, havng a little trouble with the bluetooth..my phone is connected and i can make and receive calls, however whenever someone calls or i call someone i have to wait for them to answer before then scrolling down to ‘freespeech’ prior to any sound coming through the speakers! which is obviously a bit annoying when you are drvng. I was wondering if there was a way for it to be permanently sent to ‘freespeach’ any help would be much appreciated 🙂

September 15, 2011 at 9:31 amok guys & dolls a few weeks ago i heard of a rumour about a corsa d recall due to a faulty brake pedal bearing, i left it, cos if its true they will contact me, also my car is a new 11plate, out of curiosity i rang my local dealer who put me thru to services, they asked for my registration & to my surprise they said my car needs to come in & have the faulty bearing changed, so its booked in this week..

September 15, 2011 at 1:12 pmHi,
The diesel models are being recalled for a brake

the same time as they did the service.

September 15, 2011 at 4:36 pmWell mine is petrol and its only done 3k miles so long way to go till its service, & and they need the car for the afternoon!
Dudeybird says
September 15, 2011 at 5:18 pmThink yourself lucky that it is only going in

September 26, 2011 at 10:23 amHi all, just wondered if anybody else is having trouble with the chairs in 3 door L.E?? The catch to open chair doesn’t always work and sometimes in can take a good five minutes to get the chair to close again! Not good, also when I was the car or get it valeted within an hour there’s two dirty lines on each of the bottom door sills which don’t look great on a White car and are proving quite hard to get off! Has this got anything to do with what the car was originally washed in at garage? Or a common problem? Thank you

Neill says
September 26, 2011 at 11:21 amShirleyann
the 2 dirty marks on your side skirts are a common problem, if you open your door & look on the under side of it you will notice 2 drain holes there, just use a autoglym or a good polish & it will clear this up…
gerry says
September 26, 2011 at 11:57 amThe marks below the door on the sills is caused by stained water running out of the door drain holes. I don’t know why its stained but it must be something Vauxhall paint the inside of the doors with. I have a feeling that as time goes by this draining water will gradually lose its contamination and run clear, until then it will come off with a a bit of effort.
Shirleyann says
September 26, 2011 at 12:56 pmThanks neill and Gerry for advice, Drain holes in door noted! the red & black is a gorgeous looking car, but mate thats almost £20k!!! i think you should have looked around abit more & bumped the price down, im paying £14k for black & white over 5 years with loads of extras & im sure i could of got it cheaper if i had waited for the 0% finance deal to came out…enjoy you car tho you will love it
jamie says
September 28, 2011 at 10:48 amhi neill
it was 14k to start with but after all the extras and the slight colour change and i tryed to get 0% but i couldnt get it so i had to pay interest also and it all made the price go up and up but im not worried as long as the car is as good as i hope it will be the 20k price tag i can live with that lol

yeah iv not seen a red 5dr outside the showroom yet iv only seen the
white & black 3dr yellow & black 3dr and 5dr not many red ones knocking about thats why i like it so much the vxr nurburgring edition with the turbocharged 1.6 engine is nice and im sure that it would be a fun fast car to have but are you really going to use it to its full thats a lot of horse power and not a lot of space to gallop and running costs are going to be high price but having said that if i could get insured on one i would be thinking about having one over the ltd corsa 1.2 lol

September 28, 2011 at 1:33 pmHelp……My son has the LE in Yellow. Got it 1st July 2011. Petrol is being used at a ridiculous rate. Filled it up (40 litres), 208 miles later it’s nearly on empty. September 28, 2011 at 1:52 pmAmanda…he has done just over 1300 miles in it and I would have thought that as previous owners had put after 500-1000 miles they noticed a difference. I know he doesnt race round in it and understand that he is driving to college and back but we cannot keep putting over £50 in every 4/5 days. Need to try and work out how to check the MPG on the car. All I can see is how many miles he has done!!…..
Gerry says
September 28, 2011 at 2:51 pmMy 1.2 LE has now done 3,000 miles and i drive around country lanes all day and it is always returning over 40 to the gallon. it gets better as more miles are put on it. October 3, 2011 at 10:01 pmi think its funny that vxr owners slate this car for being a vxr replica. it is vxr styled and looks nothing like a vxr. if you place them side by side its pretty obvious. its a nice looking car in its own right hence the reason i have just ordered a white one 🙂 as for reliability issues my dad has a 60 plate eco derv and the father in law has a 59plate 1.4 and both have never missed a beat. the local vauxhall garage here will always bend over backwards to make you happy.

October 5, 2011 at 9:51 amI have a red and black version of this car and it is wonderful. Loooks great for a start. I have had it 3 months now and I have already done 7000 miles. Its very efficient in terms of petrol. Cheap to fill against many small cars. Insuranace group is really low. Plenty metal between you and what your going to hit as a 1st time driver.
I have driven the car at some crazy speeds on some fun roads and I love it. It holds the road well enough. You dont need a vxr etc because you can never utilise that performance on British roads. This wee 1.2 is magic, its so much fun and I dont regret getting it. It packs a punch for a 1.2.
Its easy and fun to drive. Its a big small car so it roomy enough. I’m 6 ft 5 and I fit in either seat comfortably.
I dont feel there are many negatives with the actual car. Only negative I’d give is it was quite expnsive to get on finance and I bet someone out there is laughing at me because they have a better car for a lower price. Or for a little more I could have gotten a better car by far.
That negative aside its great and I highly recomend it. Thats just my opinion from driving it so much so I could be biassed

October 7, 2011 at 11:14 pmAgree with Jamie, the black is nice, but it has nothing to break the black up, with the red, yellow or white they have the black roof & wheels to break it up, the black edition looks like an sxi with black wheels, its a shame they only did the matt black in the prefacelift……..

as this is a page for posts on the corsa Ltd and not a page on abarth 500’s that qustion was a little silly if you think about it lol .
i wouldnt have one but having said that i would buy one for my girlfriend but thats just what i think it comes down to personal taste.

October 15, 2011 at 12:52 amI agree, this is a Corsa LE discussion. The Fiat may be a fine car but i wouldn’t be seen dead driving one. It looks like a pile of crap. October 16, 2011 at 11:13 pmHi guys, just ordered myself a White LE petrol, I did initially want the diesel, but they put my order through as a petrol 🙁
I’ve been told that it’ll be here by mid to late November, so until then I’ve gotta say goodbye to my fantastic little polo gti :'(
Best car I’ve ever owned, and I’m only 19 lol
But I’ve had ALLOT of cars, I was wandering if one of you who have their LE or know quite abit about them could give me some rough figures with fuel, insurance costs for around my age, acceleration etc all your feedback would be gratefully received! 🙂
P.s it’s not cos I’m one of these young lads who rag their cars around, but I can never seem to get an exact figure for bhp, acceleration and mpg, Everyone I’ve asked says something a little different like 85 bhp or 75 :S
Pete says
October 17, 2011 at 7:14 pmI picked up my brand new Corsa LE with 1.3 diesel engine the day after my 65th birthday in March this year. My wife chose the car for its looks but I thought it would be a bit like driving a sheep in wolf’s clothing. Nevertheless I am very pleased with it and it is a great drive. Fuel consumption averages in the mid 50s to the gallon and on long motorway trips gets even better.
My only complaint about the car is the fact that it does not have a spare wheel but comes with the tyre repair kit which would be a fat lot of good in the case of anything more than a slow puncture. And of course the styling kit prevents it being jacked with the standard Corsa jack.
I did contact Vauxhall about carrying a steel wheel with a tyre of similar rolling radius to the 17 inch alloys fitted to the car (eg 195/55 R16 or 185/65 R15) as a spare (relying on the emergency service to change the wheel for me if ever necessary) but the response was that only the 17inch alloy with 215/45 R17 tyre is approved for the car. Really helpful! I’ll just continue keeping my fingers crossed.

October 18, 2011 at 2:57 pmI share many of your frustrations. I ordered the LE on the August Bank Holiday Weekend and the expected delivery date is now the end of Nov 11. I do not even have a build date yet. Back to public transport for another month or so.
Although dragging up old ground, looking at the early posts, I think it is relevant. I used to own a Y reg (1983) Cavalier SR, ok I was only a nipper (19) and the car was a couple of years old, but the principle is the same. It’s a sporty looking car which is cheaper to run than the big boy versions, white saloon with anthracite sills. Shame they dont put Reacaros in these “one offs” anymore, but my later SRI and Astra GTE only had “sports style seats”

October 22, 2011 at 7:50 amSales reps are awful, so many excuses and promises. I ring up and they say “oh such and such made the sale so we can access the order and he’s not here” what aload of s**t!
I constantly get promised emails or call backs and it never happens. Everytime I call they can never give me something on the spot they have to get back to me, which they don’t.
Ive read so many times too about problems people have been having too. It makes me quite worried.
What I want to know too is why some people are being told 3 months and others who order their car well after me are being told 1 months. Takes the p**s. My sales rep doesn’t have an answer for this funnily enough!
I need my car by Xmas because I’ve booked and paid to go away in it to visit family but I’m starting to think looking at other peoples situations that it won’t be coming.

October 22, 2011 at 12:31 pmHi Kailey, I too have had concerns over my LE, the av. fuel consumption has gone down from 30.3 mpg to 26.3 from having the car 2 months ago. I have had to flick off the display as I was getting obsessed with it! I have also noticed that there is a slight juddering and slower acceleration at times when in low gears – also it is quite difficult to easily change into 3rd and have often ended in 1st which is a nightmare. At first the gears felt stiff and I know that all the mechanical parts can be ‘tight’, so I thought that I should let the car wear in, and I did speak to the dealers re the fuel consumption who said to see how it goes then call back if didn’t get better. Also I know new cars are slightly higher on fuel consumption, however I have contacted my dealers who have always been really helpful and taken on board all my concerns, they are picking my car up next Friday from my work. Sorry to hear that other people are having poor after sales service with their dealers, but I have to say that mine have been really good. I’m afraid technical problems with new cars will always happen (if there is a manufacturing fault then obviously there should be a recall) and at this stage I am prepared to give Vauxhall the benefit of the doubt, as I do really like my car and I get so many comments about it and looks from other drivers (mine is the white & black). Let me know how you get on with the repair, the fuel consumption may be rectified when the clutch is sorted out?

October 23, 2011 at 3:00 pmJust wanted to let you know that my LE has now started juddering on top of all the issues I have had already, but good news is that Vauxhall will be sending out recall letters for exactly that from Nov 14th. In the meantime, I just ‘have to put up with it’ until that date. This is only for the diesel model.
Ross says
October 27, 2011 at 11:26 amI ordered a black/white LE about 4 weeks ago now, paid £13200 for the diesel including the sat nav upgrade and winter pack. They told me around 12 weeks for delivery, but i’m told by someone else it’s more realistically likely to be anything up to 16 weeks (I hope they’re wrong).
Currently got a Fiesta ST 2.0 petrol and it’s costing me an arm and a leg, so I can’t wait to have a car that looks good but doesn’t cost the earth to run.
For those who had upgrades on their LE, i.e. sat nav, winter pack, etc- how long did it take to deliver from order?
Bex says
October 29, 2011 at 9:02 amHi Ross
I ordered mine towards the end of august and was told late November, early December for delivery so 3 months/12 weeks. I had a phone call last week to say its going to be AT LEAST the end of December so AT LEAST 4 months/16 weeks. I’m not happy, I currently don’t have a car and expecting it early December I’ve paid alot of none refundable money to go away in it between Xmas and new year. A hire car will also cost me hundreds more because I’m under 25.

November 2, 2011 at 4:50 pmHi Steve,
I heard it was December this year… But can’t quite help but feel this isn’t really the case! It seems the limited edition proved far more popular than they ever imagined so there still producing them!! Not very fair really is it! When your limited edition isn’t that limited, I think they should have numbered them like the Vxr arctic’s, Don’t get me wrong I love mt LE but keep seeing more and more of them on the road, so I’m feeling a bit conned lol.. Thanks 🙂

they are not taking any more orders for the LE you can only now get a used one ( unlikely) or find a dealership that have not sold there allocated amount they are sending out the last LE to people up till feb then the production of this LE will stop and they say there wont be another for the next 4 years.
hope this help if you dont have one now or on order then your unlikely to get one untill a used one comes up for sale.

November 6, 2011 at 10:38 amWell, Vauxhall picked up mine last Friday and said the diagnostic test did not bring anything up (intermittent loss of power, kangaroo jumping in low gear) and that they took it out on 2 drives and said it was ok to them. When they dropped it off the guy said I should have been told about the on board computer and how to reset it as the mpg was giving low figs and I was concerned. Another thing they didn’t tell me when they handed the car over (I also was told that should have been advised how to connect bluetooth and know about the cruise control, I’ve never had both I had the previous model).
Anyway, I mentioned this juddering in low gears and he said ‘ yeah I’ve noticed that aswell but I think it’s just the way the car drives’???? Also he blamed it on my car mats!? I know something’s not right, as my boyfriend then drove it the next day, driving in low gear onto a dual carriageway, it kangaroo jumped so I knew I wasn’t going mad. As it’s under warranty I’m going to keep an eye on it and I wonlt hesitate in sending it back again, cos I’m not the 1st person to mention this on this website. Yes, the car looks great and people do comment on it but I wasn’t expecting this from a brand new car so I’m disappointed about this, I just hope it stops doing it!!!!

December 4, 2011 at 12:41 amHi guys, picked up my LE last night and I love it! Only had it 24 hrs and Ive had more people look at the car then I ever did with my ST or GTI, not as fast as my last two, but the looks compensate for that small detail!
I was just wondering about running in the little beast, is there a curtain rev limit I have to stick under I.e. 3000 rmp for the first 1000 miles ?
It’s just cos it’s getting a little frustrating when I’m so used
To having power at roundabouts and junctions, and I get into the LE, and I’m trying to stick under 3000 rpm because that’s what I’ve been told to do by an RAC bloke, I just assumed he knew what he was talking about lol
My GTI used to say what rev’s I had to stick under in the owners handbook, but my LE doesn’t say anything 🙁
Any help on this problem of mine would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks guys! 🙂

Other than that it looks fantastic, few xenon bulb changes on the front, Heko wind deflectors are on which made a nice little touch. Like I read in a previous comment some VXR mirrors would look the part and lowering it 20/30 mil won’t hurt.
Read some bad reviews above mechanical wise too, hopefully I won’t suffer the same fate.

December 12, 2011 at 6:31 pmIve had the new LE 1.2 corsa for around 3 months now, didnt have any problems with it until 2 weeks ago a had a knock at the door asking me if that was my car rolling down the road! January 6, 2012 at 5:38 pmGot a black LE Corsa. Mpg not great since last corsa and now done 2700 miles.Hope to see improvements in near future! As for handbrake-as a driving instructor, I teach pupils always to leave the car in !st or reverse gear with the handbrake on when unattended. Emily, you should have been taught this when learning to drive. The handbrake is applied only to the rear leaving the front ‘unbraked’. Leaving the car in gear on hills will give engine braking(to the front wheels on a Corsa). Also, when parked at the side of the road turn the wheels towards the kerb when facing downhill and away from it when uphill. There have been many accidents with the car rolling down hills with the handbrake on-it is not limited to Corsas! A new car or not makes no difference. Leave your car in 1st or reverse gear and your car will not be going anywhere.

January 10, 2012 at 11:55 amI have had this car for a year now and I must admit it is boring. Has anyone here remapped theirs? The bhp is around 74 at standard, but a remap will give it power of a standard 1.4 and around 100bhp I’ve heard. Wondering if it is worth doing? I think it’ll give around 90lb of torque back but I want facts! A cat back exhaust and induction kit are in my mind aswell. Any remap experiences?
f1mad says
January 15, 2012 at 7:26 pmEmily, you should be aware of the need to leave ANY vehicle in 1st or REVERSE gear when parked on a hill. It gives engine braking! The handbrake is only braking the rear wheels on most cars. Every driver should know this but the type of incident you describe is nevertheless sadly quite commonplace. 1ST GEAR UPHILL, REVERSE GEAR DOWN.

January 27, 2012 at 1:25 pmwell since my last comment my cars handbrake has failed again on a FLAT surface and rolled towards a house, thankfully i managed to see the car rolling and pulled the handbrake back up. my dealers and vauxhall are now fitting a new handbrake system to the car as it has been found faulty. i do realise that when a car is on a slope/hill its advised to keep the car in gear. however, i shouldnt have to do this at all times, thats what the handbrake is there for, to hold the car, leaving it in gear should be just a backup.
Mr Butterscotch says
January 31, 2012 at 1:01 pmHi Emily,
If a new handbrake system is being fitted I think that tells us all we need to know about the previous system! Did they tell you exactly what the fault was out of interest?

February 1, 2012 at 8:41 pmSteve,
Remapping is pointless unless you’ve got a turbo or supercharged car, even a stage 3 remap on the LD corsa isn’t noticable having learnt this myself and only gaining 7bhp BUT tuning it is worth it. Standard bhp is 80bhp, after tuning its now 96bhp, far from winning races but a sly underdog against other 1.2-1.4 cars who think they’d take you.

March 19, 2012 at 12:07 pmYou can’t turn them off.
As a result of European legislation adopted in 2008 dedicated daytime running lights (DRL) have been required on all new types of passenger cars and small delivery vans since February 2011. Trucks and buses will follow from August 2012.
There is no requirement to retro-fit DRLs to existing cars and no Europe-wide requirement for drivers of cars without dedicated daytime running lights to drive with headlights on during the day.
Where fitted dedicated DRLs will come on automatically with the ignition.

April 2, 2012 at 3:48 pmI purchased a black Corsa 1.2 SE 11 plate last year from Arnold Clark. It had 10701 miles on the clock when I purchased it, and 6 months later is up to 12500 (I don’t go far!) My MPG is currently 32.4, this has increased slightly from what it first was (31.7) and I am hoping it does increase further as time passes. I average around roughly 100 miles per week, maybe a little more, I know that’s not much and it’s not long journeys either, it’s mainly short stops. Have noticed it’s a little slow on banks as well, but I assuming the 5 door models are? All round though, very pleased with it, but a little concerned now after reading previous comments on here about my MPG versus my mileage??? Thoughts welcome (I don’t claim to know a lot about cars!) I have noticed that almost averyone has got MPG issue.I have just about the pass the 500 miles on my yellow LE and as of now it can only do about 40 mpg driving 50 miles everyday, 10 miles london driving and 40 miles A road and M road. I am really dissapointed with my petrol consumption. I will wait maybe another 500 miles and if things doesnt change I may have to resort to getting a legal advice. Anyone who’s got an issue with mpg maybe we can join together to settle this problem legally. The real reason why we bought this one is the fuel consumption. As it turned out, my Honda Civic 1.8 is more economical than this vauxhall corsa 1.2 LE. So dissapointed indeed!!!!!!

April 4, 2012 at 6:08 pmEveryone is going on about mpg. its a 1.2….a city car. A and M roads are for bigger engones with a good power to weight An d a 6t gear. Its funny how a Limited edition car keeps getting.built lol

April 5, 2012 at 8:41 amHi Gordon, Are you now implying that city cars can not be driven in motorways? I think you are missing the point – vauxhall advertised 39.2 mpg for urban driving and 61.8 mpg for extra urban (that includes Motorways) with a 51.4 mpg average. You have to understand that people like me bought smaller cars for fuel economy because of soaring petrol prices.
People who discover that they can only do 30 to 35 mpg are not very happy (would you?), I’m sure you also own this model. By the way,it’s not funny or lol if you are expecting or if you are made to believe something that is not true.
gordon says
April 5, 2012 at 9:11 amRonald, surely your smart enough to realise manufacturer figures are not true. and if you wanted a car for the motorway you would have bought a diesel car with 6 gears? also motorway figures will be done at around 55mph with a near empty tank of fuel and a low passenger weight. and no im saying city cars are not meant for the motorway, hence why they are called CITY CARS

April 5, 2012 at 9:30 amMy 1.2 Petrol LE now has 6000 miles on it. I use it on shortish runs usually maximum of 40 mile round trip to work and back, around town & country B roads. I have not reset the average mpg computer for 4500 miles and is shows a steady 43 mpg which I am quite hapy with.
Ronald Bala says
April 7, 2012 at 5:48 amI think the best way to measure mpg is how many miles can your 45 litres can go. Computer trip in your dashboard is not accurate. Well, Gerry, 43 mpg is maybe reasonable.
Dudeybird says
April 7, 2012 at 8:51 amIf you have cruise control, you can always use this to get better fuel consumption. I have the 1.3 Diesel & average 749 miles to the tank by using cruise control. By not using cruise control it is approximately 527 miles. Huge difference & very worthwhile. The fuel consumption will also differ depending how you drive it & how heavy you right foot is!!!
Ronald Bala says
April 7, 2012 at 2:19 pmWow, wow, wow!!! 527 miles to a tank, that’s fantastic. I am even struggling to get at least 250 miles. And 749 miles? – that’s unbelievable.
Dudeybird says
April 7, 2012 at 3:22 pmAlthough it is fantastic on diesel, it has spent more time in the garage being fixed than in our driveway. As I mentioned previously, some time ago. It has had major engine problems & spent months with Vauxhall unable to find the problems. As soon as they found the problem & fixed it, within 2 weeks it was back in. Vauxhall have certainly lost alot of money on this car but wont replace. Fingers crossed all is ok now. As much as its annoying, I wouldn’t change it for the world. Shame they are so common now. Vauxhall won’t stop making them if they can still sell them!

April 10, 2012 at 7:07 pmI advise not to buy this car! my car was brand new in june 2011 and on tuesday it had its 9th visit to vauxhall… good looking car yes but absolutely shocking on fuel consumption and engine management problems! Do Not Buy!
Rponald Bala says
April 14, 2012 at 10:17 amI’ve been to the garage for the first time yesterday because of my hand brake problem. Hopefully they’ve managed to fix the problem.
Jodee – how many miles have you done so far? At the moment I can only do around 300 miles to a tank which is roughly equivalent to 30 mpg which is very poor.
Dudeybird – which particular model have you got, is it the 1.3 ecoflex 75ps or the 95 PS?
Dudeybird says
April 14, 2012 at 6:27 pmWe have the 75ps. This mileage is achieved in our car motorway driving.
Ronald Bala says
April 15, 2012 at 8:08 amOic Dudeybird. Thanks for your reply. I am planning to exchange/swap my 1.2 petrol LE to either 75ps or 95 ps diesel 1.3 ecoflex that’s why i was enquiring about the mpg you do.
Dudeybird says
April 15, 2012 at 8:14 amNot a problem. Please look at my previous posts some time ago though as my experience with this car hasn’t been trouble free that’s for sure!! Thank god for the lifetime warranty!!
Just out of interest, has anyone else noticed that the Vauxhall logo on the wheels are coming off? I will pop it into the garage as I am sure they shouldn’t come off. Looks like they are just stuck on which I personally think is a bit cheap & tacky!!

April 18, 2012 at 10:29 pmHi. Me and my boyfriend got the yellow LE 1.2 petrol on the 05/03/2012 and we have spent a fortune on petrol. Within the first week of getting the car we put £80 in petrol now nearly 1600 miles on the clock and were lucky if we get 50miles per £10 worth of petrol. All the dealers say is bring it in and let us monitor it for a few days… How much more money do they want us to spend before they finally hold there hands up.. Also a light vibration noise from the glove box which is sooo anoying but can nit figur out what it causeing it…And you have to put at least £20 for the file gage to even move and they say that’s not a fault either… We had the 1.2 polo moda 70bhp on a 60 plate bought brand new and that use no where near as much as this… Can anyone to me if they have had any luck from there dealers in relation to this…

April 24, 2012 at 9:20 amHi Gazza, do yourself a big big favour. Don’t buy it. I did hundreds of miles using cruise control and the best figure i got was 37 mpg. Amanda was right, I should have bought the diesel one

Corsa is insurance group 7 for a few black bits !!!!!!! my mate has one and paid £10,500 for a 2011 plate they are well over priced…….. go get yourself a proper car with a real engine not something lifted out of lawn mower with the mpg of train !!!!!

May 2, 2012 at 2:28 pmThis is my second post in this thread, I managed to get 48MPG combined on the clock with my little 1.2 (done 20k). fuel becomes more economical after the first service since new (after 15k miles). The best I did was 53.7MPG on a 400 miles journey 6 rounds between Cambridge and London (in town and Motorway)
Stop over reving it I am sure you can get at least 45 + MPG

May 2, 2012 at 3:03 pmThe 1.3 se is 95ps 6speed geared , my work fellow has one and gets 74.5 on motorway, and 57.8 on A,B roads , and in London 49.2mpg , and just £30pa road tax is the same as my fiesta , happy days!!!

May 2, 2012 at 6:19 pmThis is my second post on here… Me an my partner have the LE 1.2 petrol in yellow.. We fill the tank for £60 and all we get is 295.4 miles this is an absolute joke… Had it bk in the garage again today and AGAIN there saying nothing is wrong with it.. I have told pentagon I will be seeking legal advice and even thinking of leaving a post on watchdog aswel. All us on here with the same problem need to raise this… Obviously there is a under lying fault that there not accepting…. Has anyone at all had a good Responce from there dealers??

May 2, 2012 at 7:00 pmI dont worry about the fuel consumption but I get 43 mpg day in day out. It may be the way people drive! 43 mpg is fine. Its a heavy car for goodness sake
Ronald Bala says
May 3, 2012 at 9:35 amHi Frankie, 295 miles is really a joke. That’s about 30 mpg more or less. I’m getting around 350 miles on mine on a full tank petrol – that’s about 35 mpg more or less and this figure is really really bad, not as bad as yours though. Yes, Frankie seeking legal advice and contacting watchdog is a good idea. I am considering the same action.
Gerry, you are very lucky to get 43 mpg. Does that mean you’re getting around 420 miles (more or less) on your full-tank petrol?

Gordon says
May 3, 2012 at 3:02 pmfact is small engines with low power output DOES NOT always mean cheap to run. a vxr corsa can achieve 40mpg because it has better power to weight, 6 gears, a turbo. obviously when used violently yes it will go below 30 but for everyday driving it is better.
Frankie says
May 3, 2012 at 10:49 pmThanks Ronald, I think it’s a joke to be honest, I had an argument with one of the service desk people yesterday, he tried telling me 295 miles per tank was about right… He thinks coz I’m a woman that I’m stupid… Well he has met his match because me an my partner have got a few tricks up our sleeves yet… We will be taking the car back in again on Saturday to log an official compliant.. We all need to log this as a complaint for vauxhall to take this serious….
Ronald Bala says
May 4, 2012 at 10:20 amyes, totally agree. I was just reading an article about this woman in the U.S. named Heather Peters who launched $10K suit against Honda after her hybrid Civic did not meet mileage expectations and there is a very big chance that she could win the case. Her honda was just doing 30mpg compared to 50 mpg that honda promised. In your case, you are just doing 29 to 30 mpg compared to 51 mpg promised by vauxhall. Please keep us informed. Thanks!!!

May 6, 2012 at 8:07 pmall depends how you drive it, got my 1.2 petrol new 1/3/2011, its done 6000miles, it never goes above 4k revs, and I change gear at the shift light and the best I got was 54 mpg, worst was 39 and I average about 44mpg, Im happy with that as its a heavy car for a small engine..plus I washed it today and i could not care if i got 30mpg cos it looks dam good lol
Gerry says
May 6, 2012 at 10:38 pmCould not agree with you more Neill. If I want to push my Corsa then I get about 35mpg and im really reving it. If I take it easy on a long trip I get 48mpg. I reckon I average 43mpg, but I dont care and dont understand what all the fuss is about. All this talk about “Watchdog” and threatening the dealers and Vauxhall is nonsense. Get real people. Enjoy your car and stop moaning. It looks great, it wont get more mpg than i’m getting because of the power to weight ratio and thats that. Stop moaning. Ive got a light bulb that says it will work for 4000 hours, It went pop tonight after only 5 months, i think I will sue China!! Good grief, its a sad world.

May 7, 2012 at 6:23 amI have a question for both Neill and Gerry-How many miles can you get with you full-tank petrol?
Neill says
May 7, 2012 at 3:36 pmSorry Ronald cant answer your question as ive never filled it up, its only used at weekends due to company van….
Ronald Bala says
May 7, 2012 at 4:02 pmThanks for your answer Neill. But based on what you posted that ur doin an average of 44mpg, you should be able to do at least 420 miles with at least couple of litres left in your tank.
I just filled up today. I got 347 miles (w/ at least a litre and a half left in tha tank) for an average of 36.56 miles per gallon, way below vauxhall’s 51 mpg average claim.
Gerry says
May 7, 2012 at 5:23 pmI don’t fill my tank either, I always put £30 ish in and that’s that.
I’m having a week off in a couple of weeks and doing a fair bit of running around. I’ll fill the tank and let you know.
Ronald Bala says
May 8, 2012 at 1:18 pmThanks Gerry. I found out today that vauxhall corsa is not alone with mpg problems. Almost all the new cars around has got the same problem. That is according to What Car Magazine.

May 8, 2012 at 1:36 pmI have had my petrol L.E since the end of Nov 2011 and fortunately I have not had any problems that were reported with having to go back to the dealers, hand brakes etc. I do get a pretty poor return on the fuel when driving around town (34 mpg) but on a run to Somerset, I recently got there and back on a tank and was hitting around 45 mpg. I was pretty pleased with that and think the car is great. Question – It is a little slow becuase it is heavy with a small engine and you know about it going up hills. Would getting it tuned on a rolling road improve the performance and consumption, and would it invalidate the warranty.
Lee says
May 15, 2012 at 12:59 pmare you guys being serious? the mpg is a guidline and you will possibly achieve it if you are driving as economically as possible… revving the tits off it will obviously give you a lower mpg… sigh*…
Ronald Bala says
May 15, 2012 at 5:38 pmLee, are you really really serious? How do you know that we are revving? Have you seen us drive? If only you can see me how i drive mine, I almost do not want to put my foot on the gas…. sigh…..
Frankie says
May 15, 2012 at 5:58 pmLee, I’m not being funny but me and my partner wouldst of bothered changing from a 60 plate polo to this corsa if we knew what was In store…I don’t think any off us have paid £15000 for a car to rag it about like young boy racers…We are older more wiser people.we only use our car to travel to and from work mainly yet we get around 295 per tank… We pushed it once and got 311 which is a joke for a 1.2 car….. It’s amazing how most people automatically jump to conclusion that people must be driving like mad men instead of agreeing that vauxhall have made a huge mistake with this car.. It wouldn’t suprise me if some of you work for vauxhall…..

May 25, 2012 at 8:05 pmWell i did go away and I did 450 miles. I had to refuel at 370 from a full tank. I did 210 miles of that on motorway at average of 85 mph the rest was on narrow country roads and in town. I caculated it all at about 41 mpg. Now for a car that only has a 1.2 litre engine and weighs over a tonne i dont think thats bad. I never take any notice of manufacturers mpg stats because they can create the ideal situation. I’m happy with my car, its got no faults and it does over 40 to the gallon all the time. Enjoy.
Gerry says
May 25, 2012 at 8:07 pmOh and i forgot to mention that it was this week. It was hot and sunny and I had the aircon on all week.
Ronald Bala says
May 28, 2012 at 1:58 pmThanks for your answer to my question Gerry. Well, for your information – 450 miles to a tank means 45.46 miles per gallon (mpg) – that is your tank would be really really empty.
I have the acurate computation of my mpg: I have done 383.5 miles using 40.50 litres (with 4.5 litres left in the tank) and my average is 43.05 mpg. I could have done a maximum of more or less 426 miles If i continued driving until i run out of petrol. I managed to get this mpg because usually i drive from 9 pm to 5 am as i work night shift, with an average of 13 miles london driving, 13 miles of A road and 20 miles of motorway. As i mentioned in my previous posts, I always don’t want to put my foot in the gas especially when driving off-that always annoy the vehicles behind me, always putting on neutral every time i see the lights hundreds of metres away, and not driving more than 60 miles on the motorway. Going home from work early in the morning is almost non stop so i always use my cruise control. Yes folks! getting more than 40 mpg is possible with this car.

February 28, 2013 at 6:40 pmHi, I have LE 2011, my car has been drinking the petrol for months, plus the handbrake sticks. In addition the engine has been making a noise, so booked it for a service and they informed me that it had no oil in it when the oil was checked a week ago. They are also saying that it may have to have a new engine and its my fault as I have been reckless. This car has only done 26,000 miles and 18 months old.
