Motorpoint, the UK’s leading car supermarket, is set to open its ninth supersite in Birtley in November 2015.
The nine-acre site, close to J61 of the A1, will house 500 new and low mileage nearly new vehicles with quick access to a further 4,000 vehicles in group stock.
Motorpoint is investing over £5m developing the supersite near Chester-Le-Street, creating 50 new jobs once it is up and running. This will include a Customer Café with free Wi-Fi together with purpose-built workshops and valet bays.
The opening of Motorpoint Birtley is part of a multi-million pound expansion programme by the ‘Sunday Times Top 100 Company to Work For’ and will complement its network of existing sites in Birmingham, Burnley, Chingford, Derby, Glasgow, Newport, Peterborough and Widnes.
