This is the new Megane Renaultsport 265, to give it the official title and what a looker it is! Available to order now in two versions: 265 Cup available for £24,825 on-the-road and 265 at £26,025. Performance is up, with the 0-62 sprint being completed in exactly 6 seconds. Top speed is up over the standard model to an impressive 158 miles per hour. Torque of 360Nm is usefully available across a broad rev band between 3,000 and 5,000rpm.
Various other additions/options include a new white colour option, modified alloys, a rear camera, front parking sensors and much more. This is a hot hatchback that will be extremely easy to live with in everyday life (though if you opt just for the Cup chassis you may find it extremely firm riding).
I’m a massive fan of this car. The looks are aggressive without falling into the slightly ‘chav’ catergory as the Ford Focus RS did (don’t get me wrong, I really like that car too). The design is shapely and appealing. There’s also a decent amount of space inside. Not to mention that smokin’ performance. This new 265 is definitely recommended.
