This is a far more interesting car than the Tesla that currently holds the title for the most sporty electric car. The DeZir might only be a concept at the moment, but it is a cracking looking thing. In particular, it has the swooping bodywork that features on a number of other recent Renault concepts. Is electric the future? Well, electric is part of the history of automotive engineering, going all the way back as far as 1899 (and beyond). Whether it’ll be part of the future remains to be seen as modern drivers are much more demanding these days. However, if manufacturers keep producing such amazing looking concepts I’d say it’s much more likely that we’ll head in this direction – as long as they perform!
