If you are up to date with your car news, you’ll know that Auto Express recently completed the ‘Driver Power’ survey for 2012. Perhaps surprising for some is the news that Skoda have managed to place three cars in the top five! The Czech brand powered the Yeti to the top spot, the Superb ranked second and the Octavia managed an impressive fourth.
Editor-in-chief Steve Fowler said: “ŠKODA’s achievement in topping Driver Power yet again is immense. They clearly know a thing or two about building cars that people really love and keeping their customers happy. The Yeti in particular seems to have hit the sweet spot, and jumping up from number two to number one shows the car leaves a lasting impression on its owners – they love their Yetis.”
Commenting on the performance Robert Hazelwood, Brand Director for ŠKODA UK, said: “Last year we had three cars in the top five and to repeat the feat, is a great result. It’s a tribute to the quality of the cars, the dealers working hard on the front line and the customer service team in our head office. ŠKODA’s recent record of achievement in the Auto Express Driver Power survey is second to none.”
A very well done to Skoda. And yes, I’m in that group that loves the Yeti, though with the high residuals I can’t take the plunge and get one just yet!
