Pagani Zonda R
I’m proud to present the Pagani Zonda R as the Car Articles Car of the Year 2010. Breathtaking performance, a crazy pricetag and a car that you can’t use either on the street or most tracks. So, perhaps, as Jeremy Clarkson famously said, you need to be so rich that you can buy your own race track to go along with it. If you did, you certainly wouldn’t be disappointed.
More than 700 horsepowers and in excess of 500 foot lbs of torque means that the Zonda R is certainly no slouch – though you’ll be having to take it on the track yourself as mentioned above. Performance? Simply staggering. Would you like one in your trailer ready to be driven like it should be at Silverstone for example? No doubt.
Just look at the experience that the Autocar reviewer has in this video, he’s actually speechless at one point. True driving pleasure. And for this very reason, the Pagani Zonda R is the Car Articles Car of the Year 2010. It’s more special than anything else out there and is the most deserving of this accolade, despite the fact that there were many excellent cars released this year.
Stunning car with a price tag to match. A million quid could quite easily buy a bonafide single seater race car, trailer and team tent though… which might well be a better investment in terms of thrills.
