The first customer has now received his Cosworth Impreza STI CS400 – one of the fastest Impreza cars ever built!
Mark Edwards of from Chipping Camden, Gloucestershire, took his place in automotive history when he collected the keys to his brand new and highly exclusive performance machine from his local Subaru dealer, Cross Roads, in Tredington.
This mighty machine boasts a massive 395bhp, which is enough to propel the car from 0-62 in 3.7 seconds – a truly shocking time for a car that can be used every day. Other refinements include a bespoke brake package – with six-pot callipers – developed in partnership with AP Racing, giving the car prodigious stopping power. A wide range of further upgrades have also been made to the suspension, exhaust and to the donor Impreza’s exterior and interior styling.
“As a huge Impreza fan I’m thrilled to be the first to take delivery of the ultimate incarnation of the model line,” enthused Edwards. “The CS400 is everything I’d hoped it’d be and more. The performance is simply astounding and to know I’m one of just 75 people in the world to own one… well, it’s a very special feeling.”

September 30, 2010 at 8:02 pmI must say that yes, ok, it might not have the badge for the price, but this is a supreme car. Truly, Subaru and Cosworth have sorted this hatch. It transcends the tradition of the hot hatch and is a genuine supercar. It also looks hugely mean!
