This is the latest model in the 308 lineup from Peugeot – the 308 GT! This is the performance variant of the popular hatch/estate and comes with either a diesel or petrol powerplant, lowered ride height, unique spec over other models and a generally very high specification. Particularly attractive to the exterior is the move of the lion badge from the front of the bonnet to the grille of the car.
The 308 GT sits on 18-inch ‘Diamant’ wheels, shod with Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres. Their fluted spokes and engraved motif are exclusive to the 308 GT. At the rear, the 308 GT offers a striking and distinctive posture, thanks in part to the lacquered black diffuser and stylish twin exhaust pipes. The GT signature is integrated into the tailgate, as well as the front grille and wheel arches.
The powerplants are a four-cylinder 1.6-litre THP 205 Stop&Start petrol engine producing 285Nm of torque and a four-cylinder 2.0-litre BlueHDi 180 diesel engine producing 400Nm of torque. Both provide plenty of poke as well as low emissions and road tax figures.
The car will be officially unveiled at the Paris Motor Show next month and deliveries will commence in January 2015.
