Following a highly successful year in 2014 which saw brand new sales and world record prices, Silverstone Auctions has released details of its upcoming sales for 2015.
The specialist auction house will begin the year by returning to Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire for its fourth sale at Race Retro, Europe’s premier historic motorsport show. The two day sale, taking place on the 21st and 22nd February, will feature classic road cars, historic racing cars, motorcycles as well as automobilia and lifestyle items.
Following the brand new and highly successful ‘barn-find’ sale at back in April, the largest of its type, the team will return to The Restoration Show at the NEC for a special sale on 28th March. The sale will be offering buyers the chance to acquire some exceptional restoration projects as well as intriguing barn finds. Interest for consignments is placed on genuine barn finds as well as cars that have been off the road for a minimum of ten years and in need of restoration.
Silverstone Auctions returns to its spiritual home at The Wing, Silverstone Circuit on May 23rd for The May Sale. The flagship sale of the year, The Silverstone Classic Sale, takes place at the world’s biggest classic motor racing festival on 25th and 26th July. The summer will end on a high at The Salon Privé Sale, which returns on 5th September.
Brand new for 2015 will be The Porsche Sale, organised in conjunction with Porsche Club GB. The special sale will feature the finest Porsche’s available on the market and takes place on October 25th at The Wing, Silverstone. The season finale will take place at the NEC Classic Motor Show in November. Last year’s auction saw 81 per cent of cars sold over the two-day event.
