Winter can be a tough time on your car. Have a think about some of these things as the winter weather draws ever closer:
1) Engine coolant/anti-freeze – keep it topped up and at the right level. You want your engine to start on those cold winter mornings, so look after it as you should.
2) Windscreen washer fluid – don’t use your wipers to take off ice as it will only break them. However, do keep you washer fluid topped up. If and when it is raining or worse, you’ll want your windscreen as clear as possible.
3) Tyre pressure – keep tyre pressure at the recommended level. Don’t have let pressure continually wind down as this could increase fuel consumption.
4) Clean your car – don’t leave snow, ice or other debris on your vehicle for any longer than you really need to as it could damage the softer layers of paint.
5) Lights – make sure that they all work correctly! Side lights and fog lights are not a suitable alternative to your dipped beam headlights. More importantly still, a car without working lights is not only in breach of the law but could be extremely dangerous in genuinely bad weather.
Those are some simple things to consider when using your vehicle in winter. Stay safe, stay out of trouble and if weather is as bad as last winter than avoid driving at all if you can.

Great simple points. I always try to make the point of hosing down the wheel arches as I find this is where most of the salt/muck congregates.
Thanks for sharing….
