In some of the strangest news I’ve seen in a while, there’s a Ferrari FXX for sale on Auto Trader.
What’s odd about it? Well, firstly it costs £1.85 million pounds. This makes me think that, for that sort of cash, it’s unlikely the buyer will come across it there. Surely anyone with that sort of money and the will to buy such a car (something between a concept and a test-bed for innovation for Ferrari) will have some sort of team of researchers with their finger on the pulse of the used car market.
The other thing that makes me think this sale is a little strange is the use of the Ferrari FXX. Whilst no doubt it’s a very special machine, the limitations on it (Ferrari keep your car and invite you to use it on a few special track days, before analysing the data) make me wonder… Remember, for that sort of cash, you could get yourself a Veyron. Then again, plenty of car fans such as Simon Cowell and Jay Kay are no doubt salivating at the idea of taking Ferrari’s fastest machine outside of F1 on to a track…

September 9, 2010 at 6:18 amIf I have that kind of money I will spend buying Bugatti Veyron instead of Ferrari. Why? Because for me Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grandsport is not just cool by appearance but also the features itself is great.
“said to be the topless version of the world’s fastest production car. It’s Engine was 7993cc, W16, Power: 987 bhp @6000rpm, Torque: 922 lb ft @2200 rpm, Transmission: 7-speed DSG with paddle shift, Fuel/Co Acceleration: 0-62 mph: 2.5 sec and Top Speed: 253 mph. It has been developed so there will be no draft inside even when exploring the upper reaches of the car’s 217 mph top speed.”
