The Ferrari F430 is a very special car in almost every respect – it looks the job, is incredibly quick and powerful, is loud and ensures you’ll get all the attention that upwards of £100,000’s worth of car can buy you. But, it’s that time again. It’s time for a replacement.
The so-called ‘entry level’ Ferrari (though you could argue that place is now served by the California) is likely to be replaced by an ‘F450’, which will include sweeping side air vents, a bigger engine and even larger brakes than the current production model.
The new engine is said to be a V8 with 4.5 litre displacement and 500bhp – no doubt the performance that will come with such a powerplant will be staggering. Interestingly, the driver interface for the engine will be the seven speed twinclutch setup that comes with the California – so it must be receiving a lot of positive feedback. One will expect it to be modified though to suit the more aggressive nature of the F450.
Apparently, a lot more details of the car will be revealed soon and the Frankfurt Motor Show in September may well be the date for the debut.
