Any marquee producing a new car is going to be news. Not least because the word ‘marque’ normally denotes the fact that you’re talking about one of those posh makes normally reserved for the exceptionally rich in this life. This case is no exception – however the car itself looks amazing. I’m talking about the Aston Martin One-77.

Based on a sophisticated carbon fibre chassis with a handcrafted aluminium body, this 7.0 litre V12 super car will deliver exhilarating performance for a strictly limited number of discerning customers.
The website is the usual flash prettiness but gives you very little insight into the car itself. What’s it going to be like? Well my money is on something powerful, light (it has a carbon fibre backbone) and vastly overpowered. After all, there’s a 7.0 litre raging powerplant waiting to be unleashed.
I have registered my interest so expect any insider stuff that comes my way to then appear here (as long as I’m not under NDA and they give me a go of this new creation of course). Is it a concept? Will it be made? Who will buy it in these times of almost-recession? These will all be answered in time.
