Audi has confirmed that a new mini SUV is on the cards and it will fit directly below the Q3. It will come with a range of efficient engines and most likely (though not yet confirmed) but available with front wheel drive and the proprietary Quattro four wheel drive system. The car will arrive in 2015, with pricing and spec to be confirmed.
The Q1 has a significant number of competitors in the mini SUV market which seems to become ever more crowded month by month. However, would you buy a Q1 given the pedigree that the famous four rings logo represents? Strong fuel efficiency, better use of internal space, an upmarket interior and an appealing design all add up to a car that should sell. But, and there always is one, at what cost compared to the Vauxhall Mokka or the Renault Captur just to name two new mini SUVs?
