This is one of the first reviews out there of the all new 2012 Ford Focus ST. The new car may have a 2 litre turbo instead of a 5 cylinder 2.5 but it still packs a good wallop of almost 250bhp. However, some of today’s latest hot hatches have even more than that impressive figure. But that’s missing the point of the ST – it is made to be a proper driver’s car, and it is. No torque steer, plenty of traction and superb handling. The reality? A performance car that you can just as easily pick up the shopping with as you can take it to your local track. Good? Nope. It’s superb. It honours the reputation of the old ST and brings the name into modern times.
