This chunky looking small SUV is the Chevrolet Trax. As everyone is getting in on this increasingly growing market segment, Chevrolet is set to join the party at the Paris Motor Show in September and will go on general sale some time in 2013.
“Trax provides Chevrolet an entry into a growing small SUV segment and delivers the flexibility, great fuel economy and car-like handling that urban explorers require,” said Susan Docherty, President and Managing Director of Chevrolet Europe.
What are your initial thoughts on the design? My guess is it’ll be sold with 3 engines, 2 petrol and 1 diesel. There’ll be a 4×4 version but many sales will consist of the 2wd car. I like the front end – it looks large, purposeful and capable (though with quite a low ground clearance). Exact dimensions aren’t clear but I’m guessing it’ll go into competition with the Nissan Juke and other small SUV/crossover vehicles.
