Eric Bana in Love The Beast
I’ve been desperate to see a film titled ‘Love The Beast’ for a long time now. It stars Eric Bana and is a documentary exploring his 25 year history with his first car, “The Beast” – a 1974 Ford Falcon that he bought at the age of 15. It’s no surprise that the two have had such a long relationship given the type of bond that must have formed. It’s clear from the trailer that this wasn’t just a labour, but a labour of love (he managed to wreck the car when hitting a tree during the Targa Tasmania Rally).
It’s very clear from the snippets of the film I’ve seen (there are a few out there on the net) that Bana is almost as car mad as I am. Perhaps more so given his loyalty to the single car. I haven’t managed to find a release date yet but if you’re into cars and seeing others talk about them and their passion, then this is surely one that you do not want to miss.
