Motorpoint has officially opened its latest branch in Birtley.
The UK’s leading car supermarket, recently named one of the Top 10 best performing mid-sized companies by the Sunday Times, began welcoming customers through its doors this morning after investing over £5m in recent months on the nine acre supersite in the North East.
Motorpoint Birtley stocks 500 new and nearly new low mileage cars onsite from 35 different manufacturers, with instant access to a further 4,500 cars in group stock – all of them available to drive away same day.
Conveniently located close to J63 of the A1, Motorpoint Birtley features extensive free parking, free Wi-Fi and a café open seven days a week. Customers have already been taking full advantage of Motorpoint’s ‘Free Breakfast Offer’ that is running between Friday and Sunday – helping themselves to one of its famous ‘Breakfast Butties’. A series of other activities are planning over the launch weekend including face painting and a balloon artist as well as a chance to win £250 worth of ‘Love to Shop’ vouchers.
Mark Carpenter, Managing Director of Motorpoint, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have finally opened our doors to the public in Birtley. It’s taken months of hard work to get this point but it’s definitely been worth it seeing so many people from the North East coming through the door already and experiencing for themselves Motorpoint’s award-winning combination of choice, value and service.”
The opening of Motorpoint Birtley forms part of its multi-million pound expansion programme and compliments its network of existing sites in Birmingham, Burnley, Chingford, Derby, Glasgow, Newport, Peterborough and Widnes. Motorpoint expects to sell 50,000 new and nearly new low mileage cars in 2015, saving customers close to £400m off new list price in the process.
