Considering some of the new concepts (as well as the new actual production cars) that have been rolling out from Renault recently, you’d be forgiven for thinking that they are entering into some kind of weird car renaissance. This idea isn’t dispelled by the new Renault Megane Coupe which looks simply brilliant.
Prices have been announced for this fantastically stylish looking thing, which is available to order now with deliveries starting at the end of January. The basic model (the Expression) will set you back at £14,745 for a 1.6 litre VVT petrol engine.
Of course, this being Renault, they’ll be offering some fantastic engines powered by the black stuff – so you’ve also got a couple of diesel options at 1.5 litre. Top of the range for the moment is the 1.9 litre Privilege diesel – however, don’t be surprised to see a cracking turbo-petrol version in the future to join the RenaultSport range – though that might be taken care of by the new Megane hatch, which I’ll feature soon.
Seems like Renault would be missing a trick by not giving the Coupe a performance variant though, wouldn’t you say?
