The problem with green cars is that they are usually one of two things (or, indeed, both). First, they aren’t actually that economical. Second, their other problem is that they look – well – a bit crap. Of course, it would be SEAT that breaks the mould.
The Leon Ecomotive delivers a lot of style for the money, but more to the point it offers over 55mpg if you’ve got a light right foot – or look at it this way; you could get 900 miles from a brimmed tank. The Highlands to France anyone?
The Leon is a fantastic looking car that offers sporty looks – whilst making sure that it’s incredibly friendly on your wallet. The Ecomotive doesn’t scream ‘el cheapo’ option either – the real teller is the badge on the back, unless you look extra carefully and you might notice the slim, low rolling resistance tyres.
Naturally, you’ll want low emissions to go with your new high mpg green mobile, and that is catered for too. Say hello to a meagre 118g/km from the 1.9 litre diesel – a very low output indeed my friends. I can go so far as to genuinely recommend the car over the better known badges – it’s a real gem.
Prices start from £14,275.
