The Mail Online has an article that states 9/10 parking tickets that are issued end up quashed – so why bother issuing them in the first place? It’s an extremely good question. Tickets have their place, no doubt. When a car is causing a minor obstruction or has been left in a dangerous place then tickets should be issued. Thoroughfares should be exactly that.
Have you ever received a ticket, and if so would you say that it would issued for a justifiable reason? If you have received a ticket, did you fight it and was it quashed? I’ve been lucky enough and careful enough with my parking to have never had one as yet. Not that I haven’t been at risk of a ticket for being over the time limit in a parking space by say 10 minutes…
I would have assumed that 1/10 were quashed! I know better now, thanks.
