Medieval madness, Truckmania, Giant Scalextric and outdoor games are all part of Beaulieu Holiday Fun for May Half-Term from May 28th to June 5th.
Throughout the holidays, challenge your friends and family on the Giant Scalextric track and race to the top of the leader board. Then play giant games such as Jenga, chess and Connect Four in the stately grounds of Palace House, home to the Montagu family since 1538.
Truckmania celebrates the super-sized world of trucks on Sunday 29th and Bank Holiday Monday May 30th. Two monster trucks will demonstrate their power in displays, as Big Pete and the Grim Reaper crush cars and a caravan. The Beaulieu Truck Pull puts strength to the test, Truck Agility challenges drivers’ skills and Mini Truck World recreates the world of road haulage in miniature with remote-controlled trucks. The British Army will also return for this year’s event with a display of modern combat trucks.
There will be a Medieval theme to the rest of the week from Tuesday June 2nd. Falconry demonstrations in the Cloister offer the chance to see magnificent birds of prey and learn skills from the expert falconer. Step back in time as the Beaulieu Bowmen perform archery in the nave and costumed monks Brother William and Novice Joseph recount what life was like at Beaulieu Abbey in the 13th century.
Also starting on May 25th is the Surrey Sculpture trail with stunning sculptures to spot throughout the grounds of the attraction until August 11th.
A great value ticket to Beaulieu includes entrance to all of the attraction. Don’t miss the National Motor Museum’s new Driving Change display, which explores motoring innovations, technology and safety throughout history and makes motoring predictions for the future.
Visit Palace House, Beaulieu Abbey and stroll around the beautifully kept gardens and grounds. At the Secret Army Exhibition learn about the training of special agents at Beaulieu during World War II.
In the World of Top Gear, see some of the machines built for the challenges on the TV motoring show. In On Screen Cars see TV and film favourites including the flying Ford Anglia from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Mr Bean’s lime green Mini and Wallace and Gromit’s Anti-Pesto Van.
