The iconic Audi TT has long been a staple of British roads now and the latest version – set for deliveries in December 2014 – will no doubt prove to be just as popular as previous incarnations. Priced at £29,770 to £35,335 on the road, the latest coupe is sure to be a mammoth hit.
This third generation car will include a wide range of engines but one of the picks of the bunch is the 184PS ultra version, which will be capable of in excess of 67mpg with CO2 emissions of just 110g/km. Sport and S line trim will include fully digital Audi virtual cockpit, MMI touch, xenon or LED headlights, Audi Music Interface, Audi drive select, Alcantara/leather sports seats and keyless go. Quite a spec I’m sure you’ll agree.
The virtual cockpit is quite a marvel. Drivers can choose between two display modes: In the classic view, the speedometer and rev counter are in the foreground; in “infotainment” mode the virtual instruments are smaller. The space that becomes free as a result provides ample room for other functions, such as the navigation map. At the lower edge of the Audi virtual cockpit, the displays for outside temperature, time and mileage are permanently visible. Warning or information symbols are also displayed there.
We would be very surprised if Audi has done anything less than create another gem of a coupe. Orders are being taken now so don’t miss out!
