The Telegraph looks at the £13.4 billion pothole debacle that’s ongoing in the UK and how one political party is blaming the other – without actually getting to grips with or bothering to fix the problem. My suggestion is, rather than finger pointing, they should actually get on with the repair of the road network that’s required before people start to have extremely serious impacts due to ill maintained road surfaces.

June 7, 2011 at 9:26 pmI do enjoy Rutherford’s columns, and he’s done a very good job of calling out the hypocritical Labour minister. Does Mr. Woodcock really think we’re stupid enough to believe that the nation’s roads have deteriorated so rapidly since Labour were ejected from No.10?
Personally I don’t give a toss who’s fault it is, I just wish someone would do something about it before I have to replace any more damaged tyres!
