The DVLA Pay A Fine service was launched back in 2016 to allow customers to pay vehicle-related fines online. The service has recently been extended and updated to allow a broader range of fines to be dealt with and in a simpler fashion. Fines are issued to uninsured or untaxed vehicles on the road; this was previously dealt with by a paper based system. The problem can now be dealt with via the website.
The digital service of the DVLA website now more generally links better to the GOV.UK website domain. This reduces demand and time on the person paying as they no longer have to dig out additional documents etc to sort the problem out. The service is scheduled to be further improved later this year and more news will follow as developments are announced.
