Earlier this year, classic car insurance specialists, Footman James, bought a tired 1987 VW T25 van which needed some TLC; now restored, all it needs is for you to give it a name.
With help from both Practical Classics and specialist restorers, CBR Motor Bodies, the worn-out vehicle and its classic VW polo trailer were revamped in time for its reveal at the Practical Classics Restoration Show last month.
After Footman James fell in love with the classic four months ago, they have decided to launch a competition that adds a personal touch to their beloved VW, and what better way to name it than asking the great minds of true enthusiasts.
From Betsy to Bernie, or Vera to Vernon – the competition to name the FJ show van will start on Friday 4th May 2018, with submissions closing on Friday 25th May. To be in with a chance of winning, individuals will need to submit their entries via an online entry form that will be open to the public from the 4th.
The winning name will be chosen by a team of judges at Footman James and will grace the VW T25 at most of their future shows and events. Some of these include; The Footman James Bristol Classic Car Show, Chateau Impney Hill Climb and the Manchester Classic Car Show, just to name a few. Not only this, the winner will also receive several prizes including; RAC breakdown cover, £250 towards their classic vehicle insurance, a free year’s subscription to Practical Classics magazine, two tickets to the Manchester Classic Car Show and a personalised miniature VW T25 model of the FJ show van.
