Auto Express Reviews New Audi A6

February 11, 2011 by Mr Butterscotch 3 Comments

As usual, Auto Express delivers the good with this excellent A6 review. This had me convinced for a moment that I should be looking at an A6 – but then I remembered Audi has a high premium on their cars. Nonetheless, this A6 is a cracking looking car that appears extremely capable, especially in four wheel drive guise. Watch the video to see what Auto Express make of this latest car from Audi.

From the reviews we’ve read and linked to on our site they agree with what AE said.

The consensus seem to be the 2.0 TDI seems to be the one to go for, good value and as fun to drive as the larger engines.

Audi really do seem to be on a roll of late. Not sure about the A1 personally, but the rest of the recent launches seem to be aesthetically pleasing as well as pleasing to drive.

If there was one criticism of Audi styling, it would be the DRL’s. What’s with the shapes. What was wrong with a straight line, how they first appeared on Audis? No wonder chav’s are buying up flexible LED strips from Ebay. Though I suppose the Audi DRL’s do not look quite as silly as the current Discovery DRL’s, which are dim enough to look like a chav mod.

DRL’s reduce the number of crashes that take place, so they’re certainly a good idea.
