The GT4 version of the Ginetta G50, Autosport Magazine’s ‘Car of the Year’, is looking to make the same waves across Europe in 2009 as it did in the UK in 2008.
Six Ginetta G50s ran in the GT4 class of British GT in its inaugural year, clinching the title ahead of the Aston Martin N24 and Nissan 350Z GT4 rivals. The car took the chequered flag in all 14 races in the championship, clocking up 13 pole positions in the process. In fact Ginetta G50s finished in first, second and third places in the overall championship.
With the European GT4 category now open to the car, the opportunities for new and existing Ginetta G50 owners have expanded considerably. Six of the 3.5-litre, V6 powered models are expected in each championship all with Ginetta factory support available.
Priced at just £47,200 + VAT, the Ginetta G50 in GT4 specification ready to race is a significantly more affordable method of International GT racing compared to other marques.
Running budgets tally at around €50,000 if shared between two drivers and with the Euro at similar exchange rates to the British Pound, racing a Ginetta G50 in GT4 has never been better value for European customers.
