In the least likely naming convention ever, Lamborghini has codenamed the replacement for the Murcielago the Jota (they have used this badge before, back in 1970 for an SV Miura). Power is likely to be similar to the most recent incarnation, but a full carbon fibre body means even less weight. A likely 700bhp direct injection engine should mean ‘reasonable’ fuel consumption figures for what will be Lamborghini’s next flagship.
Power will be to all four wheels and unlike Ferrari, Lamborghini will continue to offer a manual geared version. No word on prices yet, but it is unlikely to be cheap. Pictures to follow soon.
