Ah, the sunny weather is finally here. We at Car Articles can’t promise it will remain, but we certainly hope that it does. What we can do however is give you three top tips for slightly warmer and sunnier weather conditions. Welcome to Spring!
- Have your air con gassed or serviced. If your car has air conditioning, this system will over time become less efficient as it uses up gas and lubricant. Not only will it keep you cool on warmer days but it helps to de-mist windows, so this really is worth doing.
- Clean your glass. With sunnier mornings, it will become immediately apparent if your glass is not quite up to scratch – if you pardon the pun. A jet wash of the outside and a quick once over of the inside with dedicated glass cleaner will give you more pleasant journeys from the off.
- Check your tyres. If you’re a fan of Car Articles then you will have seen this final one a few times in other driving tips. However, going from a cold season to a warmer one can play havoc on old rubber. Check front and back, looking for cracking, crazing or obvious damage. Spring brings quite cold mornings with warm afternoons. A tyre with damage that is constantly expanding and contracting is simply waiting to cause you a mischief whilst out on the road.
