Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce

April 14, 2017 by Mr Butterscotch Leave a Comment

We at Car Articles can’t get enough of the Alfa Romeo Giulia. I have now personally spied a few on the road and been a passenger in the diesel variant which I was extremely pleased with. Alfa have recently added a Veloce spec level to the car, making it even more appealing to drivers.

The new Veloce finish level has a 2 litre petrol engine that pushes out 280 horsepowers and 400 Newton metres of torque, which should be just about enough for anyone this side of sane. The powerplant is mated to an eight speed gearbox and transmission is rear wheel drive as standard. I’m sure you’d agree that is quite some proposition!

In terms of performance, 0-62 miles per hour is covered in less than 6 seconds (5.7 to be exact) and top speed is just shy of 150 miles per hour. This engine on paper returns 46.3 miles per gallon and emissions figures are low at 141g/km. This seems like a really rather good package so far.

Safety is extremely good – the Giulia was awarded a five-star Euro NCAP rating and 98 per cent score for passenger safety. All models in the Giulia range included Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) with pedestrian recognition, Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Integrated Braking System (IBS) and cruise control with speed limiter.

The Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce is now available to order and will be priced from £37,935 OTR. For more information please visit www.alfaromeo.co.uk or to locate your nearest Alfa Romeo dealer visit www.alfaromeo.co.uk/find-a-dealer.
