The whole point of a supercar, other than to travel well in excess of the national speed limit, is to have the wow factor. The all new 2016 Audi R8 Spyder clearly has that in spades. It features an all new V10 engine that develops 540PS. That’s good for a 0-62 time of 3.6 seconds and a top speed just shy of 197 miles per hour. Wow indeed.
Built on the all new Audi Space Frame, it is 50% more rigid than the previous car. Opening and closure of the drop top is completely automated and will function up to speeds of 31 miles per hour so you’re covered if a shower suddenly starts. The first examples of the open-air super sports car will reach UK customers in late 2016.
