Driving through the city can be a complete chore. Not only is it slow, wearing on your engine and brain but also pretty fuel consuming. Audi have come up with a solution though in the form of Audi Online traffic light information. The system is online and it uses a link up to the grid to work out what the light sequence is. Driver Information System (DIS) located in the central instrument cluster then shows the driver the speed to select in order to pass through the light during a green phase. It also displays a visual aid using red, amber or green icons.
So, what do you think of this? Great idea or are we creeping ever closer to the car doing all of the work for us and thus taking away any pleasure we may get from driving?
