This is the latest car from Lotus – the Elise S Cup R. Powered by a 1.8 litre mid mounted transverse engine, it features a bespoke livery and aerodynamic body kit to compliment this already track worthy car. With revised front splitter, barge boards, winglets, rear diffuser, floor extensions and rear wing, clever manipulation of air-flow creates extra downforce – and combined with adjustable dampers and springs, lap times are reduced by circa 4 seconds on a 2.2 mile lap over the standard Elise S.

I’ve no doubt that this will be a serious track day weapon that will be capable of extremely quick lap times. It would certainly get my vote as an entry level motorsport weapon.
