Sometimes, smaller really is better. In this case, the second car for the weekend is the all new Alfa Romeo Mito and that moniker is perfect for this diminutive yet fun car. If you need a small and efficient car, the 1.3 JTDM-2 produces only 89 grams per kilometre of CO2 and offers serious MPG.
There is also a performance variant of the little Mito, featuring a 1.4 litre 170 BHP powerplant. Standard drivetrain fitment is an ALFA TCT meaning you get sporty paddle shifts on the steering wheel. Performance is very warm rather than hot – 0-62mph is covered in just 7.3 seconds and a top speed of 136mph is possible.
Standard equipment includes new 16-inch alloy wheels, satin chrome-effect exterior detailing (grille surrounds, headlamp and tail lamp surrounds), air conditioning, Alfa DNA driving mode selector, a rear spoiler and a Uconnect 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with DAB and Bluetooth connectivity.
The new Alfa Romeo Mito is available to order now from Alfa Romeo showrooms, priced from £12,960 on the road.
