The Top Ten Scrappage Scheme New Cars

It seems us Brits are a sucker for a bargain – over 155,000 orders have been made for cars under the scrappage scheme, giving some lucky buyers a saving of more than £2,000 when purchasing a new car. Here’s the top ten list of the best selling manufacturers and cars under the scheme:

Hyundai (i10)
Ford (Fiesta)
Fiat (500)
Toyota (Yaris)
Kia (Picanto)
VW (Golf)
Vauxhall (Corsa)
Peugeot (207)
Renault (Clio)
Suzuki (Alto)

Notice a trend? They’re all small cars. Some of them are extremely small! So, where do that leave the larger car market? I’d assume in not a very good position. Does that mean you could save even more on such a purchase? It’s worth going to your dealership to find out before the £300 million incentive scheme runs out…
