Ticket Prices Announced For IGNITION

April 8, 2016 by Mr Butterscotch Leave a Comment

Ignition Festival of Motoring

Ticket prices for IGNITION, Scotland’s unique Festival of Motoring, have been revealed and will offer a wide range of opportunities to suit every pocket when sales start later this month.

Single tickets start at just £28 (in advance) for day entry to the festival, which will take over Glasgow’s Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre on 5-7 August, while a family day ticket for two adults and up to three children costs just £65.

Gather together a few like-minded friends and things become even more affordable: with group entry available for 10 or 20 people.

IGNITION will be the most ambitious motoring event ever staged in Scotland. As well as static displays, it promises live action and display laps on a specially constructed street circuit by a wide variety of iconic motor sport machinery including a Red Bull Racing RB7 Formula One car.

A premium ticket, which gives the holder access not just to the multiple halls of supercars, new cars, bikes, classic cars and competition machinery, but also provides a grandstand seat for the outdoor track action and a show guide, costs £49 while entry to the special VIP opening night (Friday, 5 August) costs £99.

Presenting the best in motoring from the past, present and future as well as highlighting Scotland’s own contribution to motor sport – the country is one of only five that has produced World Champions on two, three and four wheels – IGNITION is a dynamic celebration of high octane excitement. It is staged by the team behind the globally successful Top Gear Live events, the London Classic Car Show, Top Gear Festivals and the Chris Evans-inspired CarFest North and South family shows.

The Red Bull RB7 will be driven by Scotland’s own Formula One star David Coulthard on Saturday and Sunday, 6 and 7 August, while other stars ready to set the Tarmac on fire include rally legend Jimmy McRae. He will be demonstrating son Colin’s championship-winning Subaru Impreza and will also officially open the festival on Friday, 5 August.

Top Gear’s tame racer, The Stig, will be undertaking a series of power laps in some mouth-watering supercars while the world famous Top Gear Live Stunt Team are guaranteed to thrill the crowds with exciting performances.

Tickets go on sale on Thursday 21 April. Full details available on the IGNITION website –www.ignitionfestival.co.uk where you can sign up to the newsletter to be the first to hear event news.
