We have, the general public, been led to believe that when a car reaches the magic number of 100,000 miles that two things happen:
- It becomes completely worthless
- It will go severely wrong
For the record, that’s simply not the case anymore. Engines are finely tuned things and have an excellent lifespan. Equally, bodywork is extremely robust. As long as you look after your car, with some models you’ll see 300,000 or more miles. There’s no reason why a car with regular servicing shouldn’t see galactic miles – and still keep going.
Look out for tips soon on how to do this.
