Shopping At Halfords…

June 26, 2011 by Mr Butterscotch Leave a Comment

In the time honoured tradition of lazy Sunday shopping or mooching, today I took a quick trip to the nearest Halfords to see what sort of bargains were to be had. I came away with some motorcycle oil, a tin of the correct paint to respray my car with, an interior air freshener, some interior […]

June 14, 2011 by Mr Butterscotch 2 Comments

Wet Weather Observations

June 11, 2011 by Mr Butterscotch Leave a Comment

It’s amazing how differently your car can handle in wet versus dry conditions. The tread in your tyre suddenly has to work in order to provide a rubber to road connection that it didn’t have to do previously. And yet do you even consider this when the rain starts to pour down? I can certainly […]

The new Amarok is the latest pickup from Volkswagen and it’s already showing real promise – by using just four of these powerful beasts in order to tear down a 67m high steel chimney weighing 140 tonnes and standing at nearly the same height as Westminster Abbey. In what can only be described as a […]

May 27, 2011 by Mr Butterscotch 1 Comment

In another of Car Articles ongoing commitment to engendering more knowledge amongst the car enthusiast around the web, here I consider run flat tyres. Around ten years ago a tyre was introduced that was designed to be able to continue to be driven on should a loss of tyre pressure occur. An example might be […]
