It’s always an epic event when Ferrari shows off a new car – or rather piece of automotive history in the making, as their vehicles tend to be. The showing of the Ferrari 599XX was no different. Based on the 599 GTB Fiorano but with a huge amount of changes (along with the requisite power increase), The 599XX means business. So much so, that it’s a non-roadgoing, super powered prancing horse that’ll hit more than 200mph but stay glued to the track thanks to huge amounts of downforce.
Apparently, only a couple of the cars will be coming to the UK of the 30 or so produced every year, though as you get invited to specific events to drive the thing you can call yourself a ‘Ferrari Test Driver’. Now, where did I leave that spare £1.2 million? Ah yes, I think a wunch of bankers took it about a week ago to prop up the economy…
