The Hyundai i20 has been improved for 2010, with minor changes to the aerodynamics and engine that have resulted in a boost in fuel efficiency for all engines. Each engine, including the diesel, now has a greater mpg rating (the 1.4 petrol gaining a 4.3mpg improvement and two tax bands lower) and the 1.2 model now falls into the £30 per annum tax band.
The interior is now more stylish and better equipped too, with the dashboard illumination now a shade of blue rather than red and Bluetooth phone connectivity with voice recognition is as standard on all models except the entry-level Classic.
The i20 is a great little car in it’s own right and is now even better thanks to these improvements.
The new i20 is available to order now, with prices starting at £9,520. All i20s are covered by a manufacturer-backed, unlimited mileage Five Year Warranty and are equipped with ESP and air conditioning as standard.

July 13, 2010 at 12:17 pmHyundai have really begun to make major inroads into the UK car market, in part due to them being early to offer a 5 year unlimited mileage warranty. They now have around 3.49% of the car market year to date (figures from the SMMT) and to put this into perspective BMW have 4.63%. Hyundai are also very competitive on contract hire and personal contract hire so why not check out this great manufacturer.

July 14, 2010 at 11:05 amI agee, the overall effciency and performance of the vehicle is of paramount importance as this both effects the cost of ownership as well having an environmental impact. After all with all the leading nations making commitments to reduce co2 emmissions the car and van market are obvious places to look at.

July 14, 2010 at 11:30 pmHi guys,
Thanks for the comments… Please do keep them coming in! I agree that efficiency is extremely important, but taking journeys with a few passengers now more than I used to makes me realise how important a good slug of torque is too!

July 16, 2010 at 12:45 pmI drive 50 miles each way when I go to work so I’ve been looking for a cheap-to-run car. The i20 was already on my shortlist and this version looks even better. Great post!
