It seems that every year Nissan create a better version of the GT-R. The latest incarnation, which is now on sale in Japan and for order in other markets, is destined to be one of the most capable cars ever made. Improvements have been made to the suspension, road noise and vibration is reduced, Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST CTT tyres are standard fitment for best road holding, braking calibration has been retuned and steering is even more accurate and precise.
Some minor modifications have also been made to the exterior to make the car even more desirable.
Perhaps now though, the question is whether the GT-R is now starting to be a little long in the tooth. There’s no denying it is a superb piece of Japanese engineering with breathtaking performance and mile munching ability. The new additions are, we are led to believe, designed to even make it an acceptable GT car. But does it still capture the imagination in the same way that a Ferrari 458 Italia or a McLaren 12C do? As always, answers in the comments…
